Cumbrian Solicitors have Sax Appeal

23/10/2008

The family departments of two firms from the Lake District recently took “Collaborative Law” one step further by co-organising and funding a live music night in aid of Kendal Child Contact Centre.

Temple Heelis and Thomson Wilson Pattinson joined forces for the night which saw Head of Family at Temple Heelis, John Osborne, belting out two hours of classic hits with his band New Tricks from the likes of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Van Morrison and many more. The band was more than ably assisted by special recruit John Helliwell of Supertramp who provided saxophone on his own hit “Give a Little Bit” and other songs.

More than a 100 people attended the event which raised in excess of £600 for the Kendal Child Contact Centre.

Commenting on the evening, John Osborne said ‘It was a real thrill for the whole band to play with John Helliwell and it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves’.
