Richard specialises in Dispute Resolution, primarily for businesses (employment law; landlord and tenant disputes; contractual claims; debt recovery; insolvency) but also for private individuals (employment advice; personal injury; possession claims).
Richard joined Temple Heelis LLP as an assistant solicitor in 1994 becoming partner in 2001. He has over 15 years' experience in the above areas of work and has represented clients in courts and tribunals across the north of England and beyond.
Richard takes the view that the modern advisor in his line of work has to combine knowledge of law and procedure with a clear understanding of the client’s resources, needs and expectations to ensure that the best results can be achieved in challenging circumstances.
Based at the Kendal office, Richard combines fee earning with his role of Managing Partner, a position which he took up in late 2007.
Richard is married with two school age children and in what little spare time he has left he enjoys playing golf and football.
