Preparing and revising contracts of employment

It is a statutory requirement that each employee should, within two months of them starting employment, be given at least a written statement of the main terms and conditions of their employment (e.g. job title, salary, holiday entitlement, etc). It is normally sensible to incorporate these in a full contract.

Temple Heelis LLP are able to supply several types of contract for staff of different seniority. These contracts of employment are tailored to your needs and compliant with all relevant legislation. We can also assist with revisions to contracts. Employers should note that amendments to contracts (except for things such as simply increasing the rate of pay) which significantly change what is expected of an employee cannot simply be imposed, but an attempt should be made to agree changes with the staff affected or their representatives.

Obtaining the advice from an employment law specialist will ensure that your documentation is fully up to date. By doing this you can considerably reduce the risk of litigation and fines against your business.
