Temple Heelis LLP wishes to make it clear, once again, that the firm has no current connection whatsoever with Temple Heelis Commercial LLP (a law firm formerly trading as TH Commercial and now in liquidation), and none with Ellis Edge Limited (also in liquidation), both previously of Prizet Court, Helsington, near Kendal, Cumbria
The partnership of Temple Heelis solicitors dissolved and became two limited liability partnerships ( LLPs) in 2010, the ongoing practice Temple Heelis LLP (Temple Heelis) and Temple Heelis Commercial LLP (THC). The two firms traded and were regulated as entirely separate entities from the outset.
Temple Heelis and THC collaborated until 2012 , but then severed all connections and physically separated. The similarity of name remained.
Temple Heelis, which has always operated solely from the South Lakes, continues to service its clients from offices in Kendal and Windermere, and has recently announced it is re-establishing its presence in Ambleside in early 2015, as part of the firm’s strategy to expand operations.
THC was from the outset a firm managed and run by one individual, Mr Stephen Ellis who moved to the area from Manchester.
In 2012, Ellis changed the trading name of THC to TH Commercial, (which emphasised its separation from us), and latterly began operating as Ellis Edge Ltd. Both THC and Ellis Edge Ltd were wound up by creditors petition in November 2013, and ceased all operations from their offices at Prizet, Manchester and London at that point.
