Temple Heelis Boosts Commercial Property Team

Property Solicitor Kerry Webster today joins Temple Heelis’ Commercial Property team, creating a 4-strong team focused purely on commercial property sales, purchases, and landlord and tenant advice.

Ranked as a UK leading commercial property team by The Legal 500 Guide, Temple Heelis’s Commercial Property team is delighted to welcome Kerry Webster who transfers in from the firm’s Residential Property team.  Growing up in the Lake District, Kerry set her heart on becoming a solicitor from a young age and has specialised in property for the past 15 years.  She is well known among clients and professionals for her excellent project management skills in managing residential sales and purchases and for her keen eye for detail, leaving no stone unturned to protect her clients’ interests.

“I am excited at today’s move,” comments Kerry, “this is both a new challenge and a natural evolution from my residential property role.  I wanted to do something different yet within the property sector which I enjoy so much.”

Kerry continued: “In residential conveyancing, my role is to help clients achieve their goals – whether that is buying or selling a main residence or a buy to let property, or negotiating the terms of a deed of easement or residential lease.  In commercial property our clients include small businesses of all kinds, hospitality and leisure businesses such as hotels, B&Bs and guest houses, retailers, property investors, and professional practices across sectors such as health and dental.  I am looking forward to building relationships with both our existing clients and new clients and working with them to achieve their desired outcome.  The variety will be enormous and interesting while at the heart of every instruction will be my aim to do the very best for my client to protect or enhance their own business.”

Qualified for over 10 years, Kerry joined Temple Heelis in 2006 and has worked mainly in the property sector ever since.  Knowing that communication is a key ingredient in every property transaction, Kerry is proactive in keeping clients up to date and driving forward every stage of the property process.

Head of Commercial Services, Richard Moore adds “There is a wealth of commercial property work in this region.  We act for owners of large property portfolios, small property investors, family businesses in every sector, retailers, and large institutions which own property as part of an investment portfolio.  Kerry is joining specialist commercial property solicitors Lucy Benton (Head of Department) and Solicitor Alaisdhair MacPhie as well as Morgan Allen who provides the administrative support.  As a firm, we are delighted with Kerry’s move, especially as she knows the property sector so well.  In working with commercial property clients when buying or selling properties or expanding their businesses, Kerry will also be working with colleagues in all our departments, including Private Client, Rural Land and Property, Commercial Services and Family.”

With three young children and a love of the Lake District, when not working Kerry enjoys the Fells with her family or can be found on the cricket pitch playing for the recently established Threlkeld Women and Girls Cricket team, of which she was one of the founding members.
