Lucy Clarke Solicitor, Family

Lucy is a key member of Temple Heelis’ family team. Described as ‘calm, organised, friendly and approachable’, Lucy loves working with people, particularly people facing difficult or emotional times in their personal lives. She is described by clients as very empathetic, always keeping a cool head and looking beyond the immediate situation to future solutions.

Lucy supports Andrew Hill, Head of Temple Heelis’ Family team, with all aspects of legal work from pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, separation and divorce arrangements to child arrangements, and co-habitation and separations. Whilst undertaking pro bono work at University while studying for a Masters in Law, Lucy gained real insight into the financial implications of co-habiting, marrying or separating and divorcing, which enables her to bring her financial acumen to good use when working with clients at some of the most important times in their personal lives.

A good ‘all rounder’, Lucy hails from the South Lakes and has always enjoyed the many outdoor pastimes available in this area from open water swimming to hiking. A former volunteer for the Great North Swim event and, herself, a former member of the local open water swimming team, Lucy shows it takes a lot to ‘faze’ her! Bringing her environmental awareness to Temple Heelis, Lucy is involved in the firm’s good corporate citizen programme with a particular remit for helping improve the firm’s environmental policies.

“Lucy was very helpful and really helped me throughout the process. She was extremely understanding during the transfer when dealing with the solicitor acting on the other side.”
